Agent Summary: Born and raised in Southern Illinois, I am one of 4 children. My father, Shane Gooden, is a current State Farm agent which makes me a second generation agent for State Farm. My wife, Staci, and I began this journey in 2020. We pride ourselves in running this agency under the "Good Neighbor" spirit with a small town attitude :) We have two beautiful children, Whitley and Walker. My wife is an alum of Du Quoin high school and her family has long resided in Du Quoin.

I have a deep history with State Farm. My father has worked for State Farm for close to 30 years, myself for 15 years, and also my brother Tyler Gooden for over 13 years. I began my career as a summer employee at my father's State Farm agency. After college, I began with corporate State Farm as a fire claims adjuster in Memphis, TN. Eventually, I was able to work my way back to my home here in Southern Illinois in which I handled the entire Southern Illinois area for fire claims, including the 2017 Elkville/Dowell tornado.

I am a current and long time resident of Southern Illinois. I attended both John A. Logan College and Southern Illinois University where I received my B.A. in History and Economics (GO DAWGS!).
